CanIPour is a free tool that reads the weather forecast for your site and gives a go / caution / no-go for a pour. Please read how to use it, and its limits, before you rely on it.
It's decision-support, not a guarantee
CanIPour is a forecast-based aid to help you decide whether to pour. It is not a guarantee that a pour will succeed or fail, and it is not engineering, structural or professional advice. It does not replace your own assessment of the site, the mix design, the specification, or the judgement of a qualified engineer.
Weather forecasts are inherently uncertain, and conditions on your site can differ from the forecast for your postcode. The verdict is a general read for the area, not a measurement at your slab. Always check the actual conditions on the day before you pour.
No warranty
CanIPour is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the forecast, the thresholds, or the verdict are accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose or job. The thresholds are calibrated cautiously from published guidance (including ACI 305 for hot-weather concreting and BS 8000-3 / NHBC for cold-weather working), but they are general rules of thumb, not a specification for your pour.
Your responsibility, and limitation of liability
You are responsible for the decision to pour and for the work itself, including following the relevant standards, the mix supplier’s guidance, and your own site assessment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CanIPour and its makers accept no liability for any loss, damage, cost or claim arising from use of, or reliance on, this tool — including a pour that is delayed, cancelled, or goes ahead and fails. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Weather data
Forecasts are sourced from Open-Meteo. UK postcodes are resolved via postcodes.io. We don’t control these sources and can’t guarantee their availability or accuracy.
Using a check as evidence for a claim
Each check can be saved as a dated record (use Save this check on the result). Contractors sometimes keep weather records as supporting evidence for a delay claim under NEC or JCT contracts, or for insurance — for example, to show why a pour was stood down.
Treat a CanIPour record as supporting evidence only. It is a snapshot of a third-party forecast and our verdict at the time you checked, not a certified weather report. The formal, certified route for contract weather claims is the official Met Office / JCT weather service; CanIPour is not a substitute for it. Save your record at the time you make the decision, since the forecast it was based on will change.
